Deep Time is an art and paleontology exhibition opening in September 2024 at the Nevada Museum of Art. The show explores the rise and fall of ichthyosaurs, marine reptiles that lived 250 million years ago, through a unique blend of paleontology, art, sculpture, and media design. It illuminates how understanding the prehistoric past and evolutionary change can help us anticipate our future. Visitors are taken on a journey from the Nevada desert to the depths of the ocean and far back into our planet's prehistoric past.

The visual identity revolves around a dynamic logotype that represents a visual translation of depth in time and physical scale. Expressed through progressively over lapping lines, letterforms, and horizontal scalability. with the adoption of a stylized ichthyosaur in curl noise rendering aesthetic generates an “otherworldly” appearance that speaks to the speculative nature of this natural science-meets-art project.
